The holiday season is a great time for gamers. After all, most of the biggest releases of the year launch in the months leading up to Christmas and there is lots of potential for getting gifts from friends and family. The most important thing, though, is that this time also means Black Friday is on the way. This week leading up to Black Friday on November 29 will see stores and websites offer amazing deals on all kinds of gaming gear.
We already brought you a great selection of gaming deals in Part 1 of our Black Friday shopping guide. Now, Part 2 will run through all the latest deals that have been revealed in the last few days, giving you a chance to grab a selection of video games and consoles at bargain prices.
Xbox Black Friday Digital Game Sale
Every year, Xbox launches an extensive sale for many titles across its platform. 2019 is no different and this might be the biggest sale in the history of the Microsoft console. More than 600 Xbox One titles and almost 200 Xbox 360 games have been discounted for Black Friday.
This also includes a variety of recently released games. The likes of Borderlands 3, Destiny 2: Shadowkeep, and Control all have discounts ranging from 30-40%. Meanwhile, some other games are on sale with up to 65% off the normal price. The Xbox Black Friday sale runs from November 22 until December 2, meaning you have plenty of time to decide which games you want to purchase.
Nintendo eShop Black Friday Sale
Nintendo has its own extensive sale for Black Friday. The eShop Cyber Deals encompass all kinds of video games for the Nintendo Switch console. In total, there are more than 150 titles on sale, including many high profile first-party titles from the Japanese publisher.
Players can grab Super Mario Odyssey, New Super Mario Bros. U, and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild for 30% off the normal price. Octopath Traveller, Skyrim, FIFA 20, Dark Souls: Remastered and Dark Souls: Sid Meier’s Civilization VI all have heavy discounts as well. Users can get access to the discounted games from November 22 up until December 1.
PlayStation Store’s Black Friday Sale
Sony has also revealed its Black Friday digital game sale for the PlayStation Store. Players in the US can expect to see discounts of up to 40% while European users can save up to 60% on a variety of PlayStation 4 titles. There’s also a 25% saving on a 12-month PS Plus membership, meaning players can get a year’s subscription to the service and get free games throughout 2020.
Some of the big hitters that have discounts include Borderlands 3, FIFA 20, and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. However, there are also plenty of other games available such as GTA V Premium Online Edition, Marvel’s Spider-Man, and Destiny 2: Shadowkeep Digital Edition. The sale will run from now until December 2 (and through December 6 in Canada), ensuring that everyone has plenty of time to decide which bargain they want to grab.
Green Man Gaming Black Friday Deals
Green Man Gaming is one of the few reputable digital key sellers on the web. Unlike other stores that resell keys and have questionable sources, developers and publishers trust this site to only sell genuine keys. From November 22 until December 3, more than 1,000 titles are on sale.
Several prominent and newly released PC games are notably on offer. This includes the likes of Borderlands 3, Red Dead Redemption 2, The Outer Worlds, and Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. As an extra incentive, Green Man Gaming is also offering five free games if you purchase any eligible title. Users will receive a code to redeem an Intel Starter Pack where they can select their five choices from a variety of titles.
GameStop Black Friday Deals
GameStop always has great deals available for Black Friday. This year, they have a varied lineup of discounts on both hardware and software. Perhaps the best deal is a Nintendo Switch bundle that comes with Mario Kart 8 and a $25 gift card for the store.
There’s also a GameStop exclusive Xbox One X Limited Edition 1TB model with NBA 2K20 for $349.99 and Sony PS4 Pro 1TB Glacier White System for $299.99 that also comes with a $25 gift card.
In terms of games, the standout offer is Call of Duty: Modern Warfare C.O.D.E. Edition for just $38 in addition to NBA 2K20, Madden 20, and FIFA 20 for just $28.
Lidl Xbox One S Offer
Those in Europe have a chance to get their hands on an Xbox One S at a remarkable price. The all-digital console comes with Minecraft, Sea of Thieves, and Forza Horizon 3 along with a 1TB hard drive to store all the games you want to download.
Although Lidl is not exactly known for selling video game consoles, they have one of the best deals. The entire bundle costs just £129, which is just over $160 and marks a saving of some £70 on the recommended retail price.
