Stardew Valley is all about planning. But sometimes, even the best-laid plans go sideways and you need to change your layout so you can add another building or two.
If this happens to you, don’t worry: it’s possible to instantly move buildings in Stardew Valley. Keep reading to discover exactly how to do it.
Can you move buildings in Stardew Valley?
If you want to move buildings in Stardew Valley, we’ve got some good news. All it takes is three easy steps and you’ll be good to go!
1. Find the Carpenter Shop
The first step is to find the Carpenter Shop. It is located on the mountain in the middle of the map and to the north of Pelican Town. You can use the image above to help locate the shop. And be prepared to encounter some familiar faces: Demetrius and Robin both call this shop their home.
2. Talk to Robin
Step two is about as simple as it gets. Just strike up a conversation with Robin and tell her you want to move a building. If you’re having trouble finding the command, make sure that you select “Construct Farm Buildings and Move Buildings.”
3. Move the building
The third and final step is, of course, moving the building! Moving buildings in Stardew Valley begins with clicking on the building you’d like to move. When it turns green, you just click on the building to transform it into little green squares.
These squares serve as a visible indicator of where you can move the building. If they are all green, you are good to go. But if any of the squares are red, you cannot move the building to that location.
An additional optional step is to sit back and pat yourself on the back. By learning how to move buildings, you can really take your Stardew Valley skills to the next level!
