A week ahead of Ubisoft Forward, 30 minutes of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla gameplay has leaked on YouTube. Unsurprisingly, Ubisoft was swift to remove the footage. It has never been shown before, so this was the first opportunity to see the game in action.
The main part of the video is devoted to the multistage capture of the fortress: it starts at dawn, when Vikings on the ships approach the enemies in an attempt to take them by surprise, but the plan fails.
Then Eivor is landing under fire, advancing deep into the castle, breaking the gates with a ram and approaching the commander in chief. In addition, there were some elements of an open world, leveling and equipment shown.
Unfortunately, Ubisoft has removed all leaks at the moment of writing but that may be for the better. It should be noted that this was an early build of the project, and most probably not intended for public display. So, now the game looks like a mix of AS: Odyssey and The Witcher 3. More information will be given during Ubisoft Forward, on July 12.
