The 2018 God of War game was immensely popular, and it helped to cement PlayStation as the platform for exclusive titles. Now, that formerly exclusive title is headed to PC on Jan. 14, 2022.
PC gamers will be able to buy God of War from both Steam and the Epic Games Store. If your system is beefy enough, you will enjoy the best possible version of God of War, complete with 4K resolution, unlocked frame rates, and other bells and whistles.
These other bells and whistles include better reflections, higher-resolution shadows, 21:9 ultra-widescreen support, and more great features. If you’re worried about factors like lag, God of War’s full integration with the low-latency technology of the Nvidia DLSS should make for a smooth experience.
The PC version of God of War will come with all of the extra content you expect, including:
- Death’s Vow Armor Sets for Kratos and Atreus
- Exile’s Guardian Shield Skin
- Buckler of the Forge Shield Skin
- Shining Elven Soul Shield Skin
- Dökkenshieldr Shield Skin
Are you having trouble imagining playing God of War with a map and keyboard? If you want to really recreate the console experience, the PC version of God of War will support both DualShock 4 and DualSense controllers. Whether you enjoy clutching a controller or creating custom controls for a keyboard and mouse setup, Sony has you covered.
Have you already played God of War inside and out? If nothing else, it should be easy for users to mod the PC version of this title and offer veteran players an experience that feels fresh and new.
