Grand Theft Auto fans have been clamoring for a next-gen collection of GTA 3, GTA: Vice City, and GTA: San Andreas. Such a collection may be launching by the end of the year, though fans will likely need to pay $70 for this anticipated title.
All we know for sure about this collection is that it will feature enhanced graphics and gameplay improvements and that it will launch for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch. But some fans have done a bit of digging and may have discovered info that Rockstar wasn’t ready to share with fans.
For example, a gamer on the ResetEra forum discovered that you could pre-order the games on Base.com. At the time, the pre-orders for the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S versions of the game had price tags of $70 and £70. The pound price has now dropped a bit to £64.85, but it looks like the game is effectively going to be $70 for Americans ordering the next-gen versions of this game. The last-gen versions of this game should cost $60 when they launch.
But when will the game launch? According to the Polish publication PPE, we are likely to see certain versions of the game launching this year. Specifically, PPE claims we will see the PS4, Xbox One and Switch versions of the game launch on December 7, with next-gen versions launching sometime in 2022.
According to PPE, the last-gen versions coming in December will launch with physical copies, making for the perfect Christmas gift for the GTA fans in your life. Other versions will eventually get physical copies as well, though there will also be digital versions for each platform.
If you buy this collection which GTA will you play first? Be sure to let us know in the comments!
