On Monday, as part of the Summer Game Fest online gaming festival, show host Geoff Keighley talked to famous game designer Hideo Kojima and artist Yoji Shinkawa. The 25-minute interview was mainly devoted to Death Stranding and its release today on PC. The interview starts at 5:36.
The developers once again reminded the audience about the features of the PC version of the game and the collaboration with Half-Life. In the video, Hideo Kojima spoke about a trip to the Valve office, which took place several years ago. There, the game designer managed to meet Valve co-founder Gabe Newell in person. They managed to quickly find a common language and agreed to go together to SpaceX.
In addition, Geoff Keighley asked if Hideo Kojima considers himself a prophet. In many ways, Death Stranding reflected a very realistic view of human behavior during the coronavirus pandemic. Kojima just made a joke and said: “I’d like to say that am not a prophet, because if I was I probably would have created a game that would sell more.”
The release of Death Stranding on PC is taking place today, so you can already play it on Steam and EGS.
