Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart Video Demonstrates How Weapons and Traversal Work

A new preview video for Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart dropped today, giving us our best look yet at how weapons and traversal work in the game.

Look closely and you can see weapons like the Blackhole Storm, Buzz Blades, and Negatron Collider in action. But the most interesting thing about the weapons is how they interact with the PS5’s DualSense controller.

Thanks to the controller’s haptic feedback, you can feel the different blasts and pulses when you fire weapons. And the speakers inside the controller help to bring every click of every gun to life right in your hands.

Also, the traversal function is supposed to be the big new feature in Rift Apart. And this video gives us our best look yet at different traversal moves, including the Rift Tether allowing you to run along walls and the Phantom Dash giving you a boost of speed.

Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart offers many cool modes, including Ratchet puzzles, Glitch combat, a Photo Mode, arena challenges, and more. And you can check the game out for yourself when it releases on June 11 exclusively for the PlayStation 5!
