As more people are staying at home, Steam has set a new record: 20 million online users and 6.2 million in game, SteamDB reports. This is how coronavirus and quarantines affected the famous video game platform.
The most popular game is Counter Strike: Global Offensive with 1,024,845 peak players at the moment of writing. After CS:GO, people prefer Dota 2 and PUBG. This isn’t the only way the coronavirus has impacted the gaming industry. Earlier this year, a lot of major events like E3 were either canceled or postponed.
