It is difficult for any fighting game to come near the perfection of Smash Bros., but that is what Warner Bros. is trying to do with their rumored ambitious multiversal fighting game. And now, leaked art has revealed what the game’s impressive roster may look like.
Rumor has it that the fighting game will have the appropriate title of Warner Bros. Multiversus. But up until very recently, fans were split on whether this game is actually in development or is just a pipe dream.
However, over on Twitter, YouTuber and Super Smash Bros. Melee celeb hungrybox tweeted out an alleged gameplay image that gave us our first glimpse of the roster.
Although the image has been removed by Twitter, TechRaptor was able to save a screenshot before the image was deleted.
If this turns out to be legitimate, then our playable characters will be as follows:
- Steven Universe
- Batman
- Harley Quinn
- Finn from Adventure Time
- Jake from Adventure Time
- Shaggy from Scooby-Doo
- Superman
- Wonder Woman
- Gandalf from The Lord of the Rings
- Rick Sanchez from Rick and Morty
- Bugs Bunny
- Tom and Jerry
Additionally, there will be at least one original character in the game that does not come from an existing Warner Bros. property.
We have some more alleged info about this game courtesy of gaming news expert @Nibellion, who tells us more potential game details via Twitter:
While Warner Bros. has yet to confirm this game, we now have multiple reports from reliable individuals and even leaked art that may be from the game. And a F2P game with paid DLC (mostly other popular characters) could certainly be a cash cow for WB while keeping their properties in the public eye.
